Kitchen
The kitchen is small but well equipped. There is a fridge, a cooker (oven, grill, 4 burners), a microwave, 2 hotplates, 2 kettles, a large tea urn and coffee machine. Hot water is generated by a heater under the sink and takes a few minutes to become suitably warm. Instructions for its switch and timer are on the wall to the right of the sink.
There is crockery, cutlery and glasses for a three-course meal for 50 people.
Toilets
The male WC is located to the right just inside the main entrance. There are two cubicles, a sink and hand dryer.
The female WC is also suitable for people with a disability and is accessible with a wheelchair. It is situated to the left immediately inside the entrance to the main hall. It comprises a single room with sink and hand dryer. The room can be heated with an electric fan heater attached to the wall.
Chairs and Tables
There are 50 chairs in the main hall, stacked to the side of the fire exit door in two portable racks holding 25 chairs each. There are 6 long tables (seating 6 each) and 11 smaller square tables (seating 4 each) located in the main store room which is accessed through the sliding door just inside the main entrance.
There is an external storage shed at the rear of the building. The shed contains additional chairs and tables mainly for use outside the building. There are 40 chairs, 3 long tables (seating 6 each) and 10 smaller square tables (seating 4 each).
Cleaning
A vacuum cleaner, mops and buckets are located in the main store room. The internal wall cupboard in the same room contains additional cleaning materials, toilet paper and towels etc.
Heating
The main source of heating in the hall is provided by seven wall-mounted electric radiators. These can be adjusted individually. The radiators should be turned on using the appropriate switches and coin meter in the fuse cupboard in the kitchen. The coin meter takes £1 and £2 coins. Please see the instruction manual mentioned above.
Broadband, Lighting, Projector and Screen
The hall has Free Fibre-Optic Broadband, a projector and screen. The main hall has fluorescent lights for daylight brightness and an alternative circuit for spot lights that can be dimmed as required.
Car Parking
The carpark is 50m from the hall over the little bridge crossing the village beck. There is space for at least 20 cars, parking is free and the carpark is well lit in the evenings. For event organisers, loading and unloading equipment into the hall can be managed by parking temporarily in the street outside the hall.
Health and Safety
The instruction manual in the kitchen contains details of Health and Safety measures and how to report an accident. A First Aid box is also situated in the kitchen, on the wall next to the instruction manual.
